MacroX ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a Chrome browser extension that records and replays user interactions on web pages. This policy explains what data the extension touches, where it goes, and your rights.
When you start a recording, MacroX captures the following user activity on the active browser tab:
All of this data is stored exclusively in chrome.storage.local — on your own device. It is never transmitted to any server, never uploaded to the cloud, and never leaves your browser.
MacroX stores your saved macros, hotkey assignments, playback preferences, and Pro license status in chrome.storage.local. This data lives only on your device.
MacroX Pro upgrades are processed by ExtensionPay, which uses Stripe as its payment processor. When you purchase Pro:
MacroX requests access to <all_urls> so it can record and replay macros on any website the user chooses. The extension does not use this permission to read page content for any purpose other than recording the user's own interactions during an active, user-initiated recording session.
We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transfer your data to any third party. The only external service MacroX communicates with is ExtensionPay (solely to verify your Pro license status).
All macro data is stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local. You can delete any macro at any time from the MacroX sidebar. Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data.
MacroX is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date above and (where possible) notify users via the Chrome Web Store update notes.
